Web = a collection of texts containing links to other relevant texts. Log = a particular text which contains a series of entries relevant to one or more entities/events/things, being updated as events progress/the entitiy changes/neither and/or both.

Weblog = a page on the web which contains notes relevant to a certain topic/person or whatever, probably being updated on a semi-regular basis.
